Her Rights Inc. is a registered non-profit in the state of Arizona, USA (since July 2016) with members and operations in the United State and India. We are tax-exempt 501-3 (c) certified. Our by-laws, cost of operation details, and annual reports as required by the state of AZ will be posted as applicable in our resources subpage. Board of Directors
Tanushree Ghosh (Founder/Overall coordinator). Tanu works for the Intel Corporation (she has a Ph.D. from Cornell University in Material Science/Chemistry) and has served on the board of several multichapter NGOs (ASHA and AID). She is also an author and a blogger for the Huffington Post.

Banoo J. Parpia. Dr. Parpia is Director for International Development at Cornell University. She received her Ph.D. degree from Cornell and spent a good part of her early career on the research faculty in the Division of Nutritional Sciences at Cornell.

Prem C. Dhall. Dr. Dhall is a veterinarian by training and is now retired after 30 plus years of glorious service for the State Bank of India and engages in social causes from his hometown of Chandigarh, India.

Angel Brandwein
​
Head Coordinator Projects and Partnerships
Angelina Elena Brandwein, MHI is an innovation strategist with expertise in
operations, startup leadership, board development, nonprofits, higher education,
and tactical marketing. She currently serves as Chief Operating Officer for the
Institute for Mental Health Research (IMHR). Prior to her work with IMHR, she managed the Health Futures Council at ASU. Her areas of passion are social justice as well as issues of human rights and health disparities.

Tanushree Ghosh

Founder, Director, Head Coordinator: Accounts and Compliance, Fundraising and Outreach
Tanushree works at Intel Corporation in the US. She has a Doctorate in Chemistry from the Cornell University, is an alumni of IIT Kanpur and the Presidency College, Calcutta, and is also a social activist and writer. She has been a regular contributor for the Huffington Post US and recently launched her book "Fom An-other Land". More about her can be read at www.thoughtsanfrights.com, her personal webpage.
Madhumanti Ghosh

Head Coordinator Publicity and Awareness
Madhumanti is a designer based in Bangalore, India. She has worked extensively on User Experience design and creates design solution that adds to an across – the board customer experience. Alumni from NIFT and NID, she is presently working as a Senior User Experience Consultant in Deloitte Digital.

Heather Mattison

Head Coordinator Fundraising and Outreach
Heather works in the Global Diversity & Inclusion team in the corporate sector as a Program Manager. There, she manages a college student mentoring program with multi-year partnerships with schools and non-profits, and drives partnerships with some education partners, such as Georgia Tech.

Ruia G. Prasad

Interim Director
Ruia G. Prasad is the interim director for HerRights. She was the Project Director and Communications Coordinator for OCA Greater Phoenix, the Arizona chapter of one of the oldest national civil rights organizations advocating for Asian Americans & Pacific Islanders (AAPIs). She has worked as a community organizer in the Phoenix metropolitan area for the past three years around issues such as immigration, mass incarceration, economic justice, and voting rights. Ruia is originally from New Delhi, India.
Our Alumni
ROSHNI GHOSH
Roshni works for the Regeneron Pharmaceuticals as a patent agent (she has a Ph.D. from St John's University in Developmental Genetics) and pursuing a J.D. degree from Fordham Law school part time in the evening. She also acts as a volunteer in Lawyer for a Day program in Westchester Supreme Court and International Refugee Assistance Project.
